Brighton Dunes Retirement Apartments - Stage One

& Communal Facilities

BRIGHTON

Aplin Cook Gardner were engaged as a sub-consultant to GHD Woodhead to undertake the Project Administration role for architecture and interior design for the construction of the Brighton Dunes Retirement Apartments for Minda.

The project involved the construction of 48 Retirement apartments which were all Universally designed for their occupants to age in place and use the care facilities that Minda could provide. The apartments were designed to maximise the views over the ocean, all were adaptable with threshold free balconies, contemporary finishes and secure with an active community.

The communal facilites were positioned to maximise views, to be central to the apartments for equal ownership and to create a different experience in each Pavillion. The facilities included a Dining/Lounge Pavillion, a Library Pavillion, a Pool/Gym Pavillion and an Entry/Management Pavillion.
